Vivian L. Jackson, 85 of State College, died Saturday, August 03, 2013 at Windy Hill Village in Philipsburg.

She was born on December 8, 1927 in Centre Hall, a daughter of the late William E. Kuhn and H. Olive Walker Kuhn.

On February 6, 1945, she was married to Jacob E. Jackson Jr. who preceded her in death on June 28, 1995.

She was of the Protestant faith.

Mrs. Jackson was employed and retired from Penn State in 1989. She then spent most of her time with family and friends.

Earlier in life, she enjoyed going to her family camp where she spent time hunting and fishing. She also loved crocheting and received a first place ribbon at the Centre County Grange Fair for one of the many blankets she crocheted.

She is survived by two daughters, Teri-Anne Richards and her husband Max of Port Matilda and Toni Marie Benner of State College; one sister, Grace Gates of State College; five grandchildren, Keri Sue Bailey and her husband Jeffrey of Phoenix, AZ, Jeffery Jordan of Port Orange, FL, Stacey Mann and her husband Michael of Philipsburg, Lori Benner of Livingston, MT, Emily Miller and her husband William of State College; nine great-grand children, Heather Bailey, Carli Bailey, Megan Jordan, Andrew Mann, Kaitlyn Dreibelbis, Jacob Mann, AAliyah Miller, Samuel and Jackson Miller; and her beloved dog Pebbles.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son-in-law Larry Jordan; and one great- grandson, Joshua Bailey.

Family will receive friends from 10:00AM to 11:00AM on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 11:00AM, with the Rev. Mary Jo Bruinooge officiating. Interment will follow at Centre County Memorial Park, State College.
