Obituary

Vivian R. Ungemah, 88, died Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004 at Centre Crest in Bellefonte. She resided there for several years.
Viv, as she was known by many, had a wonderful sense of humor. Whether it was sharing a joke or story she always made people laugh and laughed with them.
She was a loving mom and grandmother and was always there for us when we needed her.
She was born March 9, 1916 in Little Cooley, Pennsylvania, one of 7 children, and when she was 19, she married Max Ungemah. They later move to Bradford. Max preceded her in death on June 14, 1970.
Viv was a nurse a the Bradford Hospital for 25 years, retiring with many good friends and plenty of stories to tell about delivering babies.
She moved to Centre Hall shortly after her retirement to be closer to her family. Prior to her move to Centre Crest, she lived at Salem Hill Haven near Spring Mills where she enjoyed all the people she met.
Her rooms were always filled with photos of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In almost every photo she was in, she had a smile on her face and a family member with her.
She and her family always enjoyed traveling and often visited California to see friends and her daughter, Dorene Snell of Eureka. While in the Penns Valley area, she often took trips with her other daughter, Martha Sealy and was regular at family functions. Martha preceded her in death in June of 2003.
If there was a family gathering, a birthday or some other special event, Gram was there. With her cup of coffee, she enjoyed sitting at the kitchen table and sharing stories of days gone by. The holidays were a special time, too, for the family. Gram always had her favorite chair and everyone always got a kick out of opening presents with her.
She is survived by her daughter, Dorene; two sisters, Armeda Pantuso of Bradford and Grace Cobb, of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Robin Ciarrocchi of Front royal VA., Susan Glunt of Bellefonte, Karen Haas of Spring Mills, Robert Sealy of Howard; Catherine Van Biber of Rocklin, Calif., Jennifer Stringfellow of Sacramento, Calif., and David Snell of Rocklin; 16 great grandchildren Daniel, Aaron and Brian Ciarrocchi of Front Royal, Katey, Allison, Denny and Alex Glunt of Bellefonte, Rachel and Sara Haas of Spring Mills, Olivia and Victoria Sealy of Howard, Lance Van Biber of Rocklin, Calif., and Devin, Megan, Taylor and Alyssa Stringfellow of Elk Grove, Calif.
Memorials may be sent to Centre Crest, 502 E. Howard St. Bellefonte, PA 16823 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
