Born October 22, 1938, in Bakersfield, CA, he was the son of the late Earl and Thelma (Hudman) Anderson. On November 20, 1987, he married Susan Druckman Anderson who survives at home.

He served our country in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1963.

Wally grew up in San Jose, California and attended San Jose State University before joining the Army. In the Army, he played tenor saxophone for the 6th Army band while stationed in Alaska and the Presidio of San Francisco. Following his discharge he played on the road with Dean Hudson's Big Band, before settling in Alameda, California. He was an avid sailor who lived on his own sailboat and he managed Svendsen's Boat Works' retail store for many years. As a motorcycle enthusiast, he built motorcycle side cars.

After marrying Susan they lived on Telegraph Hill in San Francisco while traveling to many destinations around the world. They then moved to State College where he worked as an Account Executive for Cellular Plus.

Upon his retirement he pursued his passion for restoring antique Italian motorcycles, Ducati being his favorite, while he and Susan explored much of the East Coast on their frequent motorcycle trips.

As a beloved pet owner, he was always surrounded by cats and dogs who will now miss him as much as the rest of us.

In addition to his loving wife Susan, he is survived by one daughter Julie Regan of Oakland, CA.
