Obituary

Walter E. Armstrong, 73, of Bellefonte, died, Sunday, February, 25, 2007, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center at State College.
Walter was born August 31, 1933 in Bellefonte, a son of the late Earl R. and Grace M. Harter Armstrong.
On June 23, 1951 he married Phyllis E. Gross Armstrong who survives in Bellefonte.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters Debra E. Acker and her husband Lawrence and Karen L. Rogers and her husband Robert; and three grandchildren, Jeremy G. Acker and Ashlee L. and Philip J. Rogers.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Walter was a 1951 graduate of Walker Township High School.
Mr. Armstrong owned and operated Bellefonte Charter Bus Service, Inc. for many years.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bellefonte, the Logan Fire Company of Bellefonte, the Free and Accepted Masonic Lodge # 268 of Bellefonte, and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon.
Following his wishes, there will be no public viewing or visitation.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 3, 2007 in the chapel at Centre Crest Nursing Home, 502 E. Howard St, Bellefonte, PA 16823 with the Rev. David A. Vogan officiating.
