Wayne E. Bucek, 39, died Friday, October 17, 2008 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center. Wayne was born in Williamsport, PA. He is a graduate of State College Area High School. He worked as a chef in New Mexico, Florida , Virginia and State College area. The highlight of his professional life as a chef was when he graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in 2006.
He is survived by his parents, Milena F. and George B. Bucek of Spring Mills, his brother Jeffrey A. Bucek of Hampton, Virginia and his wife Sherry, the children Megan, Kristen and Jacob, his close friend Sherry Mongelluzzo, and many other friends.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Saturday, November 8, 2008, at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Boalsburg, with the Reverend Brent Book officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
