Wilbur Henry Glossner, 88 of Centre Hall and State College, died Monday, September 11, 2006 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center at State College.
He was born June 30, 1918 in Jacksonville, PA, a son of the late John H. and Margaret Heyl Glossner.
On June 24, 1964 he married Alta "Sis" Bilger who preceded him in death on April 3, 1987.
Early in life Mr. Glossner worked at the cannery at Oak Hall and later worked for ChemCut Corp. in State College until his retirement on June 26, 1998.
He was a member of Calvary Bible Church and the Centre Hall Senior Citizens.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Pearl Simco of Hecla Park, and one brother, John E. Glossner of Jacksonville; five nieces, one nephew and three great nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister Kathryn Martin on May 30, 2002.
Friends will be received from 10:30 a. m. to 11:00 a. m. Friday, Sept. 15, 2006 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA. The funeral will be at 11:00 a. m. Friday, Sept 15, 2006 at the funeral home with the Reverend Richard Gilbaugh officiating. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park, 1032 Benner Pike, State College, PA.
