William (Bill) E. Brobeck, 65, of rural Bellefonte, died Thursday, June 12, 2008, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center, at State College.
He was born August 8, 1942, in Bellefonte, a son of the late William E. and Leda Frances Marshall Brobeck
On November 14, 1970, he married Carole Ann Batten who survives at home.
Surviving in addition to his wife, is one brother, Richard Brobeck and his wife Nancy, of Bellefonte.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth
Mr. Brobeck graduated from Scotland School for Veteran's Children, Scotland, PA in 1961. He was also a veteran of the U. S. Army.
He was employed as a forklift operator at C.C.D.A. in Milesburg, until his retirement.
William was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Bellefonte, PA
Among the things he enjoyed most in life was reading science fiction and western books, watching TV, and going to the movies. Earlier in life he enjoyed playing slow-pitch softball and shooting darts.
Friends will be received from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p. m. Sunday, June 15, 2008, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA, where funeral services will follow immediately at 8:00 p. m. with Pastor Sue Goetz officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p. m., Monday, June 16, 2008,at Centre County Memorial Park, 1032 Benner Pike, State College, PA
