William Joseph Gentzel, age 95, of Centre Hall, died on Thursday, May 16th at the Mt. Nittany Medical
Center.

Mr. Gentzel was born in Altoona, Pa, a son of the late Grover C. Gentzel and Ella Young Gentzel. William had two sisters, Carolyn and Grace. He was married to the late Cathrine Barger Gentzel on May 19th, 1940; and is survived by 3 children, Gary Gentzel and Joseph Gentzel, both of Centre Hall, and Judith Gentzel Coates of Norristown, Pa. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Mr. Gentzel was a long time employee of the Pennsylvania State University. After his retirement he enjoyed bowling, fishing, and bus trips with his wife.

Services will be held on Monday, May 19th, at New Hope Lutheran Church, 119 Cobblestone Ct., Spring Mills, at 1:00 pm. with a viewing at 12:00 noon. Burial will be at the Holy Cross Cemetery in George's Valley.
