Obituary

William J. Anstett, of Boalsburg died at home surrounded by family on April 9, 2016.

He was born on June 29, 1939 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. the son of the late William John and Florence (Connell) Anstett.

He is a graduate of E.L. Meyers High School, Wilkes-Barre. After high school he enlisted in the US Navy where he served proudly for 22 years and achieved the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer before retiring. Following his military career he was employed by the US Postal Service in State College, retiring after 20 years of service. William enjoyed being a member of the local State College VFW, the American Legion Post 245 and the Harris Township Fish and Game Club.

Bill was the proud husband of Karen VanWhy whom he married on June 30, 1961. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three daughters, Lisa Nicoletti and her husband Albert of Plains, PA; Bonnie Dailey and her husband Fred Dailey II of Boalsburg PA; and Donna Mounts of Lacey, WA; sister, Maureen Hall of Jupiter, FL; seven loving grandchildren, Marissa Nicoletti, Jared Dailey, Oliver Dailey, Nicholas Coffman, Austin Coffman, Cole Mounts and Caeden Mounts; one great grandson, Ricky Coffman; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and his "grand puppies," Willie and Ranger.

He was preceded in death by his son, William "Billy" Anstett.

A viewing will take place on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 6-8 PM at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA 16801.

A funeral mass will he held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 820 Westerly Pkwy, State College, PA 16801, at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Centre County Memorial Park
