William Edward "Poss" Watkins, 74, of Woodward, passed away February 2, 2024. He was born August 21, 1949 to the late Gilbert and Catherine (Cowher) Watkins Bryan. Poss was a 1967 graduate of Bellefonte High School that went on to serve in the United States Marine Corp from 1968 - 1974; he was a Vietnam Veteran.

Poss worked at Corning Asahi until his retirement in 2002. He enjoyed hunting, trapping and the outdoors and cherished time spent with his neighbors and family including his dog, Max. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Lee Bryan. He is survived by his siblings, Dianne Matis (Joseph), Gilbert Watkins, Jr., Tracy Watkins and companion Skip Holderman and Shelly Phillips; his companion, Shirley Morgret; 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

A viewing will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm immediately followed by a funeral service at 2:00pm, Pastor James Jacobs officiating, at the Haky/Georgiana Centre County Funeral Home 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA 16801. Private interment will take place at Centre County Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
