Willis O. Schultz, 79, of Bellefonte, PA; died Thursday, September 18, 2008, at the Fairways at Brookline Village at State College, PA
He was born October 15, 1928, in Library, PA, a son of the late Anthony Frank and Edna Simmons Schultz.
January 16, 1960 he married Kathryn Mae Matter who preceded him in death on May 16, 2004.
Willis was a graduate of St. Mary's High School and a graduate of the Williamsport Technical Institute as a Journeyman Tool and Die Maker.
Mr. Schultz served with the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1950 - 1952, earning the rank of Corporal.
He was employed as an engineer at Cerro Metals, retiring Oct. 29, 1999, at Weyer's Cave, VA.
Mr. Schultz was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Centre Hall, and while living near Zion, attended Zion United Church of Christ, now known as Zion Community Church.
A man of varied talents and skills, he enjoyed drafting, woodworking and classic and antique cars.
He is survived by one daughter, Shelley A Davidson and her husband Dennis of Lowell, Indiana; three sons. David C. Schultz and his wife Gina of Broadway, VA, Douglas Jon Schultz of Bellefonte, and Scott R. Schultz of Brooklyn, NY; two grandsons, Matthew and Bryan Schultz of Broadway, VA; two brothers, Robert Schultz and his wife Evelyn of State College, Edwin Schultz and his wife Karey Lou of Camp Hill; and one sister in law, Pat Schultz of Blanchard.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother George Allen Schultz .
Friends will be received from 3 - 6 p. m. Sunday, September 21, 2008, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA. The funeral will be at 11:00 a. m. Monday, September 22, 2008, at the funeral home, with the Reverends S. Leigh Pick and Warren Somers officiating. Burial will follow in the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery, W. Church St. Centre Hall, PA.
In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, P. O. Box 212 Centre Hall, PA 16828; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
